Breg pri Litiji - plošča na Potokarjevi hiši

In the celebration of the local anniversary, the Memorial Plate was unveiled in 1984
on the façade of the Potokarjev House on Breg. After the celebration
there was an enthusiastic meeting of comrades in the premises of the fire station.

During the Second World War

Through your village ran the courier route, and here were the crossings over the Savinja for the movements of the partisans. War took five lives of your villagers, in memory of them, a memorial plate is located at the fire station.

In the Potokarjev House (Breg 19) on 14. 2. 1942 was held the founding meeting of the first committee of the National Protection for the Litija district. Its main tasks were the expansion of the OF mission, gaining sympathizers and collecting weapons. In memory of this event, a memorial plate is located on the house.

is the following note about the village during the NOB:

At the end of the Second World War in 1945, there were 39 houses with 227 inhabitants in the villages of Breg and Tenetiše. The village was partisan, although due to the location between two roads and the Savinja, it was not safe for the stay of partisans.

In the Potokarjev House on the Breg, where the tavern was located, on 14th February 1942 gathered illegalists, activists of OF and aware locals and under the leadership of Lojze Hohkraut established the first committee of National Protection for the Litija area.«
