The first regional conference of the Slovene Youth Union (ZSM) for the White Lands took place
from 15th to 17th July 1943. 61 elected delegates participated, representing 90% of the White Lands youth in ZSM. The conference gave particular attention to the work of the youth in the cultural-educational field and the collection of material aid for the partisan army. At the first congress of ZSM in October 1943 in Kočevski Rog, a large majority of White Lands youth was included in ZSM, and in 79 skojevskih activities there were 560 members and members.
A plaque in memory of the first youth conference in the White Lands was unveiled
by the Central Committee of the Slovene Liberation Front on 21st July 1954 at the post office building, no. 5.
