Anton Bregar-Aleks fell among three others shot by German soldiers on January 15th, 1945 in the bunker above Prelesje. With him were also Jože Kavčič-Jernač and Anton (Tone) Hauptman-Kranjc.
On January 18th, 2025, on the 80th anniversary of this event, a newly erected memorial plaque, a stone with a metal plate, was unveiled at the former bunker above Prelesje.
