In the Park (on the market square) in front of the railway station in Brežice, there is a memorial to the fallen fighters and victims of freedom from the area of Brežice.
The memorial is a black stone plate on a concrete post. The inscription is turned away from the road, facing the direction of the railway station building.
The Partisan Trail Guide and the Register of Cultural Heritage mention the year of the memorial's unveiling as 1969.
The monument register compiler Stane Piskar notes in 2017: Date of unveiling 29. 11. 1951, author Peter Šepec, ZB Brežice, the inscriptions were renewed in 1996. On 30. 7. 1989, the plate was renewed, carried out by Kamnosek Jakša Marjan from Krška.
