Memorial plate draws attention to the Gestapo crime committed against the Pečovnik family in the autumn of 1944. At that time, the enraged occupiers launched a full-scale attack on the area of Kozjega vrha, Košenjaka, in an attempt to destroy the 2nd battalion of Lackovec unit, which was operating in that area at the time. At the same time, the Germans wanted to punish the inhabitants sympathetic to the partisans. Thus, they appeared at Medvedovih-po domače near the Pečovniks. They set fire to their house, and the wife Terezija and her daughter Štefanija were still alive when they were thrown into the fire. They also killed the house helper Ivan Avberšek.
