June 22, 1942, the 2nd Kočevski Battalion of the Notranjski Detachment and the youth squad of the Croatian Battalion attacked the Italian garrison in Banja Loka.
The partisans drove the enemy to the main headquarters in the center of the village. The Italian military, however, came to the aid of a column from Petrinje ob Kolpi, and the partisans had to withdraw.
On the partisan side, the commanders of the Croatian youth squad, Zdenko Petranović - Jastreb from Delnice and Drago Štimac from Turkov, fell.
The creation was financed by the local committee of ZZB Delnice and the local committee of ZZB Banja Loka.
The author of the idea sketch is unknown.
The plaque was ceremoniously unveiled on June 14, 1970, and renovated in 1993.
