Memorial to the Victims - Gradec

On the international memorial to the victims of fascism, 2516 names of victims of nazism are engraved, of which 1213 are Slovenes, among them also 65 fighters of the Pohorski Battalion.
The memorial was designed by the Slovenian architect Boris Kobe. It is made of pohorski tonalite. In its entirety, it was carved by stonemasons in Cezlak above Oplotnica, then it was transported by trucks to the central cemetery in Gradec, where the Oplotnica stonemasons assembled it into its whole.
The memorial was ceremoniously unveiled on 1 November 1961; the original version was already erected in November 1946
