Through the main entrance, which is on the south-west side of the building, we enter the school courtyard. Immediately on the left side of the entrance, behind a sort of provisional wardrobe wall, is hidden a marble plaque, measuring 1.95 m x 2.10 m, composed of several smaller plates. The central plate measures 0.90 m x 1.00 m and bears an engraved message. The letters are in red color.
The plaques with the engraved message were placed in 1964, when they also opened the new elementary school, named after the Notranjski odred.
