Dr. Zdenko Budič

14. July 1942, three platoons of Kranjčev's battalion 2nd group of platoons and
    Poljanska platoon attacked the German border post Lučine, but the posts received
    help from reinforcement and repelled the partisan attack. 1st platoon of Kranjčev's battalion was
    surrounded on 16. July in Čenšiški Graben on the western side of Bukov Vrh. In
    the fight, doctor Zdenko Budič fell, his companion, the nurse, and the Germans captured him.

Zdenko Budič - Janez, doctor, was born on 27. July 1915 in Ljubljana
in October 1941 he became a military representative in the quartal committee OF Stari Vodmat
in May 1942 he joined 1st battalion of Savinjski odred and with 2nd group of platoons, which was
on a march through Gorenjska to Styria, came to Poljanska valley.

Monument was unveiled on 6. August 1978.
