Dražgoše - Memorial Plate for Couriers at the Primary School

Memorial plaque at the primary school in Dražgoši, Na pečeh, is dedicated to the courier post of G-20 on the second relay line, which operated in 1944. It was unveiled in 1980 (according to RKD 1981).

The G-20 post operated from the end of April to August 1944 in the wider area of Dražgoš, with its headquarters located above the village of Rudna under the Novakovo farm. It was connected to the G-1 post at Podlonok, G-12 and G-16 on the railway in Selških Lajšah, and to G-2 on the railway in Moste. Among the most important reasons for establishing this post was the location of the headquarters of the regional committee of the KPS for Gorenjsko on Dražgoški hill and other socio-political organs in this area, as well as the close proximity of the hospital Zadnja rezerva in Brsnice and the technical facility Drava in the vineyards above Rudna. In the courier post G-20 there were 9 couriers, and its commander was Alojz Lotrič.
