Boris Kac, born in 1912 in Janžev Vrh on the Pohorje. He graduated in 1939 from the Zagreb Veterinary Faculty. As a veterinary volunteer, he was in Borov in Serbia until the start of the war, then returned home, where he worked as a veterinarian in Marenberg (now Radlje ob Dravi). Throughout the time, he supported the Pohorje partisans and sent them sanitary supplies. He was shot dead by a hired killer on 30 October 1944 near his home.«
