Dolenja Vas, memorial plaques honoring those who fell nearby

At the Podružnična Primary School in Dolenji Vas, which used to be named "5.SNUB Ivan Cankar," three commemorative plaques with the names and surnames of fallen warriors, soldiers, and victims of occupying violence from the local community of Dolenji Vas are on the northern facade. These plaques, measuring 100 x 200 cm each with a 10 cm space in between, have a plaque with the inscription "1941 - 1945" in between them, measuring 140 x 40 cm. Bronze letters of the Moderno type are embedded on metal plates. A total of 75 names and surnames of Viščans were inscribed.
The discovery of the plaques was in 1978.
The sponsors of maintaining them are the Primary School Dolenji Vas and the Society Dolenji Vas.

Po Lončarski ulici skozi naselje Dolenja vas se potem, ko gremo skozi center naselja proti jugu v križišču z razcepom v dve cesti nadaljujemo pot po desni , Šolski cesti, proti osnovni šoli pred katero je trgovina Mercator. Dostop je možen tudi z glavne ceste Ribnica - Kočevje, ko v križišču na koncu naselja Dolenja vas v smeri proti Kočevju pri avtobusni postaji zavijemo proti Rakitnici in nato po 300 metrih zavijemo ostro desno ter se po cesti v smeri proti Ribnici približamo osnovni šoli. Plošče so vidne s ceste.
