Boršt - Memorial to Pre-War Activities of the Party Cell and the Association of Peasants' Sons and Daughters in Boršt

The organized activity of the communists in the White Lands began in the year 1932
when a party cell was established in Malakah, under the initiative of a student of agronomy, Janez Marentič from the village of Boginje, in the underground. Its members and sympathizers founded on 8th May 1933 the Society of Peasants' Boys and Girls of Malakah (Underground), which included peasant youth from surrounding villages. This was the first such society in the White Lands. The president was Niko Šuštaršič.

The memorial stele under the village on the road Gradac - Krasinec was discovered on 22nd May 1977. It was placed by the municipal committee of ZKS Metlika. The design is the work of architect Jože Petric.

A triangular, slightly rounded stele, is dedicated to the pre-war activities of the party cell and the Society of Peasants' Boys and Girls. It was erected in 1977, designed by architect J. Petric.
