Bizjakova Družina.

Stanko Bizjak was among the first partisans of his village. On February 24, 1943, Italian fascists, who had a presence in Dolenje, entered the Bizjak family home. They abused their power over the family members because Stanko was a partisan. After further torture of the family members, they began shooting them. First, they shot Branko, who was two years old, then Stanko's pregnant wife. Then they came for Stanko's brother Ivan, as well as his father Štefan and mother Brigita. Because his mother resisted the fascists when they were killing her family, they amputated both of her hands at the wrists before shooting her. After their bloody crime, they set fire to the house. When partisan Stanko resisted in self-defense, he took off his boots and ended his own life. The grave of the Bizjak family is located in Otlica. Source: Tour of Partisan Trails.
