Franc Zagožen - Marijan

Injured machine gunner Marjan was still lying in the hospital on Glažutski
mountain. December was passing and his condition was constantly worsening. Leon and Petek
were to find him a place on Lower Razborje. He had a rather sad look on him.
He was lying in a makeshift shelter, in which there was a thin layer of snow. A group with an
injured man stopped near the spring "pri Koštrunčku" on Graška mountain and the injured man had to
spend the whole night lying in severe frost and wind outdoors. When they arrived at Rožeja, he
died. The time was exactly midnight on New Year's Eve, when the burial was finished and the grave
was covered. Partizanka Pepca started to cry violently. Perhaps she sensed that her body too would
be buried by the earth in three weeks..
