At the cemetery in Vanča, Jože Šiftar and Fridi Fric from Petanjec were shot on October 21, 1945. Both had been forcefully conscripted into the Hungarian army. In 1944, she was sent to the Russian front; after escaping, she returned to Petanjce, where she became a victim of an informer. They were executed and soon, on January 17, 1945, she was shot at the cemetery in Vanča. The local civil committee M. Sobota and the Union of Fighters will still this year erect a beautiful memorial stone for them at the cemetery in Vanča.

According to Sistory, Friderik Fritz was born on August 4, 2023, in Samo, and thus his memorial stone is likely at the cemetery in Petanjci.
