Črnomelj, Memorial Plate for Radio OF

In Črnomlju on 8 August 1944 began regular broadcasting of Radio OF. Initially, it broadcasted
from the building of the water reservoir above the railway station, then from Miheličeva
house at the crossroads of Metliška and Semiška streets, and finally, until the end of April 1945, from
the first railway residential house (section houses). A plaque, which commemorates Radio OF and its work, is embedded in the wall of the section house, where it operated last. The plaque was made according to the design of architect Janja Lap.
