Memorial plaque is made of black marble with an engraved inscription.
S. Petelin in the book Vojkova brigada describes: "On 26 March 1945 the Germans
managed to get to the Močnik family. The father and older daughter Pavla
escaped in time, but the mother, aunt and son were taken by the enemy
soldiers and brutally killed at the top of Jelenka. Later Pavla also fell into
their hands, who were taken to Idrija, and then released. However, on the way
home she was shot by the local militia and brutally murdered in Spodnji Kanomlji."
Also at the site of the battle on top of Jelenka is a memorial plaque that marks
this tragic event.
