On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of liberation, the day of youth and the birthday of Marshal Tito, a monument was placed before the new building of the primary school. The monument is also a memorial to the 20th Festival of Brotherhood and Unity, which took place in this town in 1975.
The monument symbolizes life and youth, growth and joy, and is also dedicated to those who have enabled us to live and work in peace, to learn and develop new human relations among peoples.
The flower of freedom and youth was shaped by the sculptor Lojze Veberič from Selišč. The monument was unveiled on 30th May 1975, and removed after Slovenia's independence.
