The first plaque is about Tomšič's Brigade (uncovered on July 22, 1951), while the second one is about a Croatian hospital (uncovered on July 6, 1958).

In June 1943, Gubčeva and Tomšičeva brigades withdrew to the White Carniola. The Tomšičeva brigade settled in the Bojanci region, where it was attacked by members of the Italian army on July 4. The attack was repelled; partisans wounded six and captured eight Italian soldiers. Another attack by Charnovacki partisans from Tribuč followed, which was also repelled.

To commemorate these events, the Tomšičeva brigade committee uncovered a memorial plaque with the emblem of the brigade on July 22, 1951, at what had been an elementary school building in Bojanci, now a community center.

A Croatian military hospital from the Karlovac area settled into the former school building in Bojanci in December 1943. It then relocated east of the village to the forest, known as Ledinci (Black River). There, they constructed several log cabins and installed electricity from a central source in Podbrežje. By July 1944, this hospital had cared for 500 wounded and ill Croatian partisans. To commemorate these events, the Karlovec Combatants Union committee uncovered a memorial plaque on July 6, 1958, at what had been an elementary school building in Bojanci, now a community center.
