Cajnarje, Rudolf France - Dore

»In the area around Cajnarje, located about 9 km from Bezuljak or 10 km from Cerknica towards the northeast, under the Vidovski hills, the OF experienced an unexpected expansion. The beginning and the preparatory period before the outbreak of battles was similar to that elsewhere, but the success was surprisingly great. This area became a strong center of resistance against the occupier. The first organizers of the Liberation Front — primarily Janez Hribar-Tone, and also others — had a lucky hand and managed to already in the beginning of June form here an OF committee composed of excellent soldiers and men who became good organizers. Janez Hribar-Tone, France Popit and Ivan Novak-Očka well sowed the seeds for the spread of revolutionary ideas and enthusiasm.
