was born on 8 October 1905 in Vitomarci in the Slovenian Gorice. He was a farmer. From 1936 until the start of the occupation, he was mayor of Vitomarci. In the beginning of 1942, he joined the national liberation movement in his home area. The Germans arrested him on 10 September 1942.
His wife and five children were taken by the Germans to camps, from where they returned.
                                                                           
Dear wife!

Now I write to you one last time for the sake of the family, because I don't know what will become of me.
   Please take care of the children, so that they will one day be worthy members of human society −
   Forgive me everything that was not right, since you know that I was always loyal and honest −
   I have nothing else to write, because I am quite upset and cannot write anything else, forgive me everything that happened and also others, please forgive me.
   Once again, I kiss you and wish you a better fortune in life than I had −
   Remember me also with the children −
   Your grieving father and husband
