In this place was the home of the organizer of the uprising in the fishing area of Edo Grubelnik, a stonecutter, who was arrested by the Germans after the attack on Ribnica in August 1941. Before the bus in Ribnica, the arrested Grubelnik struck the soldier with such force that the chain broke. In the confusion that arose, Grubelnik escaped. After a few days, the Germans arrested him again for betrayal and shot him on 25 August 1941 in Maribor. Source: Milan Ževart, Po sledovih NOB, p.67.
In 1941, Edo Grubelnik was known as a member of the OF. The Germans shot him in Maribor on 25. 8. 1941.
In the summer of 1944, the post began operating in the forest near the home of Jožeta Grubelnik, no. 100, near the local Stepišnik, with the courier post station S 9. It had a connection with the stations S 11 (Lovrenc na Pohorju) and S 31 (pod Pungartom).
