Dušan Kraigher - Jug

In this place was born Dušan Kraigher on 10. 2. 1908. In 1937 he became a member of the KP. He was a member of the district committee of the KPS in Celje. In 1940 he went into the illegal movement. In Ljubljana he worked in the party printing press. During the occupation he was the head of technical affairs of the CK KPS. He participated in the planning of illegal party technical units in Ljubljana. In 1942 he went to the liberated territory. In October of that year he was sent to Styria as deputy political commissar of the 4th operational zone. He was also a member of the regional committee of the KPS for Styria. He was killed on 15. 6. 1943, when the Germans attacked the headquarters of the 4th operational zone at Dobrovlje.
