On November 29, 2000, a memorial plaque was unveiled on the façade of the Theodor-Herzl-House in Leopoldsgasse 13–15. It commemorates the tens of thousands of Jewish women and men who were crowded together in a collection camp here under the national socialist regime, then deported and murdered in the concentration camps.
