On
the cemetery in Cirkovcah there is a gravestone for 10 people, who were shot by the occupier on 11 January 1945 as a reprisal for the killing of the Cirkovcah mayor Viktor Starašin.
It was discovered
on 29 November 1952, the inscription on it was composed by Lojze Knafelc, the head of the elementary school in Cirkovcah.
