Metod Čelik, born on September 15, 1899, in Poljani, Žagar, was en route to Cankarjev Battalion when he was captured by the Germans at Bukov Vrh on December 24, 1941, and executed as a hostage on January 3, 1942, in Drag.
Pavel Košir, born on January 23, 1907, in Bukov Vrh, was a miner who participated in the Poljani uprising and the Dražgoška battle; he fell on January 22, 1942, near Muho in Vihaři.
Jožef Rupar, born on February 21, 1920, in Bukov Vrh, was a farm laborer who was arrested in February 1944 and deported to Dachau, where he died on April 8, 1945.
