The original BERTIJA VERGELA was arrested by the Germans due to betrayal, taken to Mauthausen and killed on 16 May 1942.

The plaque on the restored house is no longer there. The owner (Bešić) was not at home, so he could not be asked where it had been placed.
Bronze memorial plaque on the house where the revolutionary and original Berti Vergel lived, who was arrested on 14 April 1942 and taken to the Mauthausen camp, where he was killed on 16 May 1942. Discovered by ZZB NOB in 1974.
