Chvatal, Perko, Hribar

Monumental stone blocks on a stone base, dedicated to activists of OF, Franc Chwatal, Vencl Perk, Ignac Hribar, who were shot on 20 August 1944. The monument was unveiled on 29 November 1949.

The Domobransko postojanko was established in Domžale on 8 August 1944. It succeeded in temporarily breaking up OF in these areas.

In spring and early summer of 1944, the national liberation movement in the Domžale area experienced a great expansion, which was severely suppressed by the emergence of the Domobranstvo in the second half of this year. On 8 August, the Domobranci established their first postojanko in the Kamniško region, and soon afterwards they also took root in some other areas and began to terrorize the population without mercy, hunting and killing couriers and field workers, and destroying OF organizations. Already the next day after their arrival in Domžale, the Domobranci committed a vile crime in Podgorica, where they shot three partisans and threw four women into a burning house. The next major crime was the killing of three activists, F. Chwatal, F. Hribar and V. Perk, on 20 September near Šumbrečko on the road Vir–Ihan. The Domobranci continued with their atrocities and succeeded in breaking up the organizations of OF and the Party in the flat areas of the Domžale region.
