MEMORIAL DESCRIPTION:

Memorial plaque is 64cm x 40 cm in size and is mounted on the façade of Fister's house on Cegelnica

EVENT DESCRIPTION:

Miha Fister, born on 25.09.1918, was a factory worker and barely 20 years old when he became a member of the KPS before the outbreak of the war. Together with his brothers, he entered the 1st Kranjska unit among the first on 26.07.1941. He was a brave fighter of the Cankarjev Battalion and assistant to the mitrailleuse Biček. He fell in battle with the Germans on Mošenjska Planina on 13.01.1942.

Vinko Rejc, born on 21.04.1913, was a tailor assistant from Strahinja. He entered the partisan ranks among the first on 26.07.1941 in the 1st Kranjska unit. As a fighter of the Gubčev Brigade, he fell on 31.01.1942 near Kostanjevica on Dolenjsko.
