Danilo Ferenčak, born in 1921 in a Ljubljana family. Before the war, he studied medicine and actively worked as a physical trainer and organizer in Sokol. During the occupation, the Germans captured him as a Yugoslav soldier near Metlika and sent him to military captivity in Germany. Due to hunger and general shortages, he fell seriously ill and was sent home in May 1942. In Ljubljana, he died on 9 March 1943.
