Bele Vode, cemetery

Before the construction of the Mrlja Tower, a memorial plaque for 26 fallen fighters stood at this location, consisting of a white marble plate on a granite base. The memorial was destroyed in the years prior to the construction of the Mrlja Tower. The original memorial was designed and made by architect Andrej Šifrer.

EŠD 4413 Graveyard of five fighters

The unmarked graveyard of five fighters on the cemetery is no longer known. On the wall of the Mrlja Tower, near the cemetery, there is a plate in memory of 26 fallen fighters, which was probably previously located on the cemetery.

"- The memorial stood on the opposite side of the road (on the photo, taken 3. 10. 2025, for the road sign).

• The chairman of KS brought us two photographs from the unveiling of the old memorial. Unfortunately, they are poor quality and also particularly unclear – on the first one the memorial is still covered with a flag, on the second one it is not visible at all, as the photographer (more) focused on the choir.
• Description: We learned nothing about the graveyard of five fighters on the cemetery (mentioned in the Register of Cultural Heritage).
• While wandering around the former school, I saw, under the shelter before entering the basement area, a plate with concrete plates partially covered and partly hidden. When we uncovered it and talked to the homeowner, it turned out that this was a plate from the destroyed memorial."
