Dr. Samo Lovše fell at Lazni under the peak of Stadorja (1030 m), where a modest memorial bearing his name is preserved. Within the IX. corps, several sections, units, and institutions under his command operated. Among them was also the unit of the intendanture, whose leader was also Dr. Samo Lovše. He fell under fire from a German sharpshooter, who was positioned in the bell tower of the church in Srednjem Lokovcu, that is, on the other side of the Chepovanska valley.
