A two-story Renaissance building from the second half of the 16th century was renovated in the 17th century and added a rear wing. The building stands on a small plateau beneath the slope of Gorjancev.
The manor, which was in the possession of Prešeren's friend Andrej Smolet in the second quarter of the 19th century, was burned down in 1942 and after the war partially restored and is now in a state of disrepair.
A stone plaque of grey colour with an engraved inscription is 70 x 60 cm in size and is embedded in the building's façade with four stone brackets, to the left of the entrance doors. The plaque was erected by the Local Committee of ZB NOV Šentjernej.
