The occupier forcibly mobilized August and his brother Frank. When August was on leave, he did not return to the German army. He joined the national liberation battle. The sisters had to pass through the notorious Ravensbrück camp. Marjan was a field worker, for some time secretary of the Mislinja committee of the Liberation Front and a food officer at the local committee of the Liberation Front in Slovenj Gradec. The Germans surprised him, captured him and shot him on 3.3.1945 in Maribor.

Skozi vaško naselje Turiška vas zavijemo za smer Brda in po asfaltni cesti prispemo do cerkvice na Brdah. Pred njo zavijemo na desno na makadamsko cesto in že po nekaj metrih zagledamo urejeno kmetijo Krivec, Na fasadi hiše je nameščena marmornata spominska plošča.
