Davorin Čurda was born on 4. 11. 1931 in Velika Nedelja. His father Anton Čurda was a weaponsmith in old Yugoslavia, while his mother was a housewife. His father remained a weaponsmith even during the occupation, but he constantly informed the family about the occupiers' intentions, whom they intended to arrest, deport to a camp, and similar things. The information was passed on by his son Davorin. The young courier was very brave and reliable. With his comrades, he collected weapons, ammunition, and medical supplies for the partisans.
