Gimnazija Ravne na Koroškem

The monument is actually the entire GIMNAZIJA on Ravnah on the Koroška region. The liberation of our homeland gave our working people a new revolutionary spring in 1945, so they organized themselves to participate in the restoration of damaged buildings, the construction of new factories, roads and paths. For all of this, however, educated people were needed, which the Koroška region did not have enough of, and war also demanded its victims. Workers, through their unions and delegates, together with peasants, already in the summer of 1945 demanded that Ravnah should also have a gymnasium. After great efforts, the gymnasium was established in Ravnah in 1945. Temporary spaces were obtained in the castle of Ravnah, and in 1953 it moved to a newly built gymnasium building.
