Danica Rebec-Tatjana was born on 8 October 1925 in Palija, municipality of Postojna. From Gorica, she came with her parents to Šmartno in Rožni Dol, went to school in Petrovče and later to Celje for gymnasium. She joined the NOV already in 1942. She was a field activist of OF and a member of the Regional Committee of OF Žalec. Together with the field activist Rudij Cilenško-Vrankar, she fell in the occupation at the bridge in Kasazah, where Tatjana fell in early May 1944.
