Čatež - Memorial Plaque for the Fallen Partisan

During a fierce battle on June 6, 1943, around Čatež, between the strong units of the Italian army and the Belgrade volunteers, as well as the fighters of Tomšič's and Gubčev's brigades, the deputy commander of the fourth battalion of Tomšič's brigade, Toman Jože - Mirko, fell heroically.
His relatives placed a commemorative plaque at the Čatež family home, now the Cultural House Čatež, featuring the text and emblem of Tomšič's brigade.
The commemorative plaque was renewed in June 2018.
