Franci Strle, Tomšičeva brigada IV, p. 449 - 450. (Kadunčevi and Stepanovi fighters bravely attacked and charged. Several partisans were wounded. A German sharpshooter climbed onto a tree and from there, well hidden, fired deadly shots. Fallen were Ivan Završnik from Vologa near Šmartno ob Dreti, Ivan Rahten - Andrič from Šmiklavža near Graška Gora and Ivan Sitar from Pake near Velenje. They were buried at the foot of the hill Petelinjek. The commander Alojz Kadunc - Slavc from Sel near Šmarju-Sapu was severely wounded. The wounded succumbed after three weeks. Also severely wounded was Jože Gazer from Mozirje.
