Bolnišnica Lipa (SO-55, Suhi rep center)

Lipa SO 55 Hospital was a collective name for at least 6 bunkers in the area of Šmiklavž and Graška Gora. They were trained by Dr. Kopač, and later managed by Dr. Slokan. After his departure, the veterinarian Anton Kovač led them until the end of the war. The central bunker was located in the forest south of the ruins of Grad Vodriž. Here, the hospital commander, political commissar, economist, and two couriers had their base; there was also a storage for medical supplies.

Since the partisan brigades were constantly fighting the Germans, it was necessary to provide for as many collection points for the wounded as possible. Thus, 5 collection points were established in the undergrowth forests, with the center at the Lipa SO 55 base. The commissar was Jože Petrič. The wounded partisans were transported via Dobrava to the Pavčkove hospitals on Pohorje.
